Where the sky is large and colourful in all climatic conditions
Suits Tents, Caravans and Motorhomes, with many pitches in an elevated position overlooking the coastal horizon from the edge of the bay so everyone has a view of the sea. A short walk along the shore footpath leads to a small sandy beach. This coastal camping and caravaning site is in the centre of Scourie village itself which has a Hotel and Restaurant and the Shorehouse Seafood Restaurant is nearby overlooking the Handa ferry.
Trips to Handa Island on the ferry run daily in the season from 9:00am to 2:00pm (last ferry out – weather permitting). The best time to see the Puffins is May, June and July, but there is much to see on the water, on the Island and above in the other months.
Facilities include a kitchen and laundry room with kettle, microwave, fridge, freezer and sinks also washing and drying machines. Facilities also include toilets, showers, dishes, water, waste and everything you need as a base to enjoy our fantastic scenery.
Site accommodates Tents, Caravans and Motorhomes, the park has tarmac and gravel access roads, with well drained grass and hardstanding pitches for caravans, campervans and motorhomes some with 16A electric hook-ups (no tents sorry).
Dogs can come too. There is a beach right next to the site to exercise your 4 legged friends.
We have a Spar shop with a Bar on the Campsite. This Spar and Bar combination is a unique offering in Scotland for which we were awarded a top prize in 2023 by comic actress Elaine C Smith at the Hilton Hotel on behalf of Scottish Grocer & Convenience Retailer magazine – a great surprise but really welcome!
It’s proved a very popular feature with many of our guests. [Announcement in Northern Times]
